Teri-Aki, Quayside Cambridge

I have been lunching here for years. Shared wooden tables and benches surrounded by glass walls, both overlooking the river and an attractive courtyard (where you can also eat). If busy it can be a bit full of elbows, but it is overall a large space and does not feel cramped.

The standard of the Japanese food here never waivers. Always consistently good.

I normally like to share a selection of side orders and sushi dishes which covers a considerable part of the menu. Quick fire variety delivered to the table.

Number 9 Hotate Kushiyaki (Skewers of char-grilled scallops) and Number 19 Gyoza (Deep fried pork dumplings) are my favourites.

Warm sake to wash it all down.

The service is smiley pin point efficiency.

Verdict

If you are thinking about going to Wagamama, try this place instead.
